Eat More, Weigh Less - Caloric Density

If you want to lose weight, the best piece of advice is not to eat less food, but to eat less caloric dense foods. This video makes great comparisons between foods for caloric density. The one thing that I would add is to drink water after the meal since that may be the thing you are missing to help you feel full, and it is 0 calories.
